Sustainability

Today and every day, we remain committed to sustainable, efficient manufacturing operations and a culture that embraces continuous improvement and responsible ESG practices. Our mission is to help deliver innovative solutions that help our customers solve problems and improve performance — all while reducing our operational greenhouse gas emissions and the amount of materials in landfills. And we’re doing it with intention by setting near-term targets toward the goal of net-zero GHG emissions by 2050.

Facility Optimization

To achieve and maintain results, we have implemented ISO 14001, the international Environmental Management System (EMS), to manage our manufacturing environmental impact. Our goal is to implement ISO 14001 across all of our production facilities by 2024. To date, 10 of 12 applicable CIT facilities are externally certified under ISO 14001. Certification of ISO 14001 at our manufacturing sites will enable an organized approach to systematically reduce the environmental impact of our operations.
